Hukuna matata as explained by Rafiki in The lion king means “No Worries” Its a state of the mind that symbolises a life
without worries and this is what I think everyone looks for, a life where there is no problems, no
tensions, no fears and no worries. We
strive hard to get that whole our life but while doing so what do we really get
is more tensions, more fears more
problems and that is because we feel ourselves so much connected with our
family, our friends, our enemies and sometimes even with the strangers whom we
hardly know and that’s why Its virtually
impossible to get to that Hakuna matata state as long as we connect ourselves
with the world we live in so how to get
that state what Rafiki says is that we have to “look beyond what we see.” Now
that’s not that easy it has got a very deep meaning and every individual can
evaluate it in his/her own way simply because everyone’s vision is different
and for that looking beyond what everyone sees is totally different from others
point of view.
As a kid Hukuna matata was just a song for me but recently
it had made a great impact on the way I am leading my life. After all these
years I still don’t go where I am going. Suddenly a few days back while
watching The lion king again It struck on my mind why not to get into Hukuna
matata state of mind where there is no worries, no problems of the world where
there is nothing to be feared of. It’s simple and the only way to attain that
state is that I must look beyond what I have been seeing over these years, It’s
like just keep going on without worrying about the destination, without having
any predefined purpose and perhaps
that’s what Hakuna matata is all about.! Lets see how I’ll be able to look
beyond what I have been seeing and how long does that Hukuna matata stay with
me for now I’m trying…
