Never enough

Over the years life has offered me so much than I can ever be thankful of, it seems like everything has been pre planned for me. it’s so amazing when I look back and see where I was and where I am right now but then there comes a time when following the same routines over and over again removes the excitement and fun from life. There are times when I have to ask myself am I happy within? Is it the way I wanted to live my life? I must admit whenever this happened I have been provided the change, the change which I was looking for, the change which gives me the sense of evolution and for that as I said I don’t have enough words to say to the almighty, my master the one who is taking control of my destiny, again remembering one of the lines of the movie life of pie which goes pretty similar to my life too it states-“Even when God seemed to have abandoned me, he was watching. Even when He seemed indifferent to my suffering, He was watching and when I was beyond all hope of saving… He gave me rest and gave me a sign to continue my journey…” that’s all I can say anyway this has been a year of some remarkable changes some drifts from the boring path some new hopes. I am teaching science to students, have been included in schools co-curricular committee and with that comes whole lot of things to do, to experience and make memories.
Recently We came back from a school tour of Daly college for an IPSCMUN conference. Again I find myself very lucky to be chosen to go along with the team, it was a wonderful tour, visiting DC itself was very amazing thing and that too for an event like MUN which gives a sense of real world and the happenings, Indeed it became a very special thing for me, a lot to learn, a lot to think upon and a lot of those moments spent in Indore city. The tour was almost cancelled when the efforts of few individuals and fate took a turn and made it possible for us. Overcoming all the hurdles on the way I along with ten students and another teacher to accompany left for Indore city on 27th night. It was an overnight journey but only thing which was troubling us that the reservation was in sleeper class as it was done at the last moment, never mind we were determined to go, and as we say fortune favours the brave, we got our compartment vacant enough to complete the journey without any trouble at all.
Having reached station, the school bus waiting for us to take to school but we had to wait there for more than an hour as the bus was supposed to take other schools to an believe me that one hour was the only time spent in Indore when we have felt bored . As the bus reached the gate of DC, the eyes of everyone was lit up, though we have been told its castle its very huge and all but seeing it with own eyes was different. We were the first team to arrive, we have been given temporary stay at the guest house as the dorms were not ready. We got fresh had tea and then later on shifted to the respective dormitories. We had still had a lot of free time as the event was to begin from next day. In the evening we took a tour of the campus, the beautiful cricket ground and pavilion and clicked some photographs. We wanted some sightseeing to go out of the campus on cab. The RAJAWADA, the local visiting place was closed by then, we were told that nearest to that there is a market which is famous for food. So we went there and had a taste of the food indoor is famous for after that we came back to the school and before departing gave the instructions to all the children about the next day. Though everyone was very tired but I doubt some of the students slept early, some of them were busy preparing for tomorrow while some wanted to enjoy the freedom of not being watched.
The next day we assembled at the dining hall for breakfast and then went for the registrations from where all the students were divided into groups to join their respective committee for introductory session as it was new for many students especially for our students to be precise. After that we all gathered in the school auditorium for the opening ceremony. Waiting for the chief guest eagerly, we have been told that DC has a reputation of inviting big celebrities. After a few moments the chief guest arrived I could recognise her the first place though others can’t as I saw her in the Times of India Show during my college. She happens to be an advocate and social activist Mrs.Abha Singh. It was nice listening to her views on reservations of seat in parliament for women. After that the Model of United nation was declared open by the secretory general. Everyone went back to their respective committee leaving all the escort teacher alone in the library. We were very curious to know the proceedings of the committee so time to time we went to different committee rooms and had a check on how our children were performing. It was done on such high scale that we were amazed to see the managing and organizing skills. It went on for the next two days the routine was fixed for students though we the escort teachers were free, we roamed around in campus and time to time checked into the committee rooms too. In between these three days we realized that our students stand nowhere in comparison to other schools. On the closing ceremony we dint have any expectations of getting any sort of recognition in while sharing the chair with countries top schools.
By evening most of the schools left the campus, we decided to spent some time enjoying campus after dinner, we discussed the outcome and the learnings of them MUN, chilled the mood with some games and went back. The next whole day we were free as our train was at night so we went to a mall and watched a movie together and spent whole day in the mall, visiting different floors though most of the time was spent in 5thfloor reason having flood plaza and other attractions. We came back to school packed our bags and the bus took us to the station. This time we were more relaxed as we had AC reservations. The journey completed in two phases as had to get down at Vadodara station from where we had our connecting train after a gap of an hour. When we reached station the parents were eagerly waiting for their child to take them home, I too along with the hostel students came back to school. Though it ended but the tour was so exciting and full of learning and experience that the memories still appears in the faded form in front of our eyes.
That’s all for now I shall take a break from writing, it’s been two hours and I haven’t even stood from my seat, in hope for many more such journeys.  Adios
